WHITNEY MUSEUM’S PHOTOGRAPHS @ BLOOMINGDALE’S
NEW YORK, 22ND APRIL - 22ND MAY 2015
Like many New Yorkers and Art Lovers, Bloomingdale’s is gearing up for the opening of the Whitney’s new building downtown.
Situated between the High Line and the Hudson River in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, the new building will vastly increase the Whitney’s exhibition and programming space, offering the most expansive display ever of its unsurpassed collection of modern and contemporary American art. Designed by architect Renzo Piano, it takes a strong and strikingly asymmetrical form – one that responds to the industrial character of the neighboring loft buildings and overhead railway while asserting a contemporary, sculptural presence.
Bllomingdale’s is pround to present photographs of the New Whitney by Marco Anelli.
